• Explore color, freedom, and expressive mark-making when you PLAY with Traci Bautistas latest stencil collection SOULFUL SCRIBBLES. These stencils were created from a recent body of abstract mixed media artwork that includes colorful scribbles, organic patterns, and wild mark-making. Now you can incorporate these marks into your very own work using the stencil collection.

  These stencils can be used whole or cut into pieces {think rectangles, squares or event circles} to create unlimited designs. They are perfect to combine with Tracis other StencilGirl collections like the Deconstructed Florals to create a juxtaposed graffiti background that combines soft flowy lines of florals mixed with the wildness and unstructured lines of scribbles.

  The stencils are perfect for layering on top of each other to create additional abstract designs. Or just use a small section to add a bit of contrast over the background.

  All Tracis stencils can be used in a variety of art projects including, art journaling, sketchbooks, art quilting, ceramics/pottery, handmade cards, or mixed media projects.

  Combine them to create beautiful layers using your favorite printmaking substrate like plexiglas, gel plates, plastic freezer bags or Dura-lar to create bold, expressive art journal pages, art quilts or collage papers.

  LIVE STREAM no. 1 ~ JANUARY 31, 2018 includes access to a SOULFUL SCRIBBLES mixed media layers live stream workshop no.1 STUDIO session with Traci Bautista. This is a 1.5 hour live online workshop. If you can’t make the LIVE event, the replay will be available at the end of the event. Details for on how to access the online workshop will be emailed to you.

  NOTE: The artist papers, image transfers, and art journaling cards are created from my original mixed media paintings and art journal pages printed on high-quality matte paper. Use the artist papers for collage, card making, traveler’s journal, pocket scrapbooking or art journaling!

• Ideas for using the stencils…

  CLAY TEXTURES: press the stencils and masks into clay to add texture to the surface of your ceramic vessels

  ENCAUSTIC ART: place them over hot encaustic wax to make a print

  SMOOTH EVEN PRINTS: to get the best print from the mask, use a foam paint roller, large makeupsponge or foam pouncer brush

  MIXED MEDIA: They are perfect for creating backgrounds in your art journals, ATCs, art quilts, scrapbook pages and greeting cards.

  They can be used as both stencil and masks and are perfect for painting with acrylic paints & spray inks.

  OIL PASTEL RESIST: place them underneath your paper then rub an oil pastel or crayon. brush watercolor over the top to reveal the rubbing.
