This is an incredible linen for counted work40-count with clear, easily visible holes. This new linen was created from the reproduction of the Old White Linen I had been using. Heres the story: we sent instructions and a sample of both the Old White Linen and Montrose Linen to an Italian company to try to reproduce them. While their first attempt at the Montrose was spot on, they mistakenly thought we wanted a 40-count linen that was even weave with visible holesnot the 40-count embroidery linen we had originally requested. The fabric arrived after the sample was woven, and I had to reject it as a substitute for the Old White (the second attempt became the new Restoration Linen). But we loved the result so much that we decided to order a batch for counted samplers and whitework projects!
