Bobbin – Handmade (sold individually)

Description

Each bobbin is exquisitely hand crafted and beautifully finished by Martin Bauer. The tapered ends of the bobbins allow for sewing and the heads have a smooth but unpolished groove for a locking loop.

It takes about 30 minutes to make one. Each is hand polished to a high luster using a special wax mixture Martin made for the bobbins. The wood is baltic birch and Martin selected the color sequence especially for these bobbins. The top and bottom wood changes between red, brown, and black depending on production process and the result is random. In the image, the lower bobbin is on its side to show the variation in color
