Dahlias are beloved for their vibrant colors, unique forms, and striking presence in the garden. In this session, flower farmer Malinda Garris of Three Joi Flowers will share her experience growing thousands of dahlias on her farm in Amissville, Virginia.

Participants will learn about the history of dahlias, the different classifications and characteristics, and the essential steps for successfully growing them at home. The class will cover soil preparation, planting techniques, pinching, watering, fertilizing, staking, harvesting, and how to dig, divide, and store tubers for the next season.

Each attendee will receive a course information packet and 3 to 4 dahlia tubers to plant at home, along with time for questions and discussion. Perfect for both beginner and experienced gardeners.
